Encounters in the Dark

In this section, we want to discuss the strangest encounters that be in the Known World, actually known by very few, we want to discuss the encounters which one can do - or can « be done » against one's will - with the Lwa: the word is released! We will here unveil a bit more about the mechanisms of the Voodoo, otherwise discussed under its cultural, geographical and historical aspects in the Wikizebra, the atlas-guide describing the Known World.

As can be seen on the Pirate's Sheet as well as in the Chapter regarding Character's Creation, out of the Brewing of the Rooroot Beer, one can be faced with the power of the Lwa, that is with the Voodoo, under three different circumstances, which are however managed in very similar ways:

• Through Puppets or Talismans;
• In the course or following the accomplishment of Rituals or Malédictions by a Bokor, a Mambo or a Houngan or a gathering of those mysterious or frightnening (?!) characters;
• Under the most various and unexpected forms in objects or in natural places, loaded with power or serving as a passage between « that world » and the world of the Lwa…
