Raffie is a female Capuchin Monkey (Saimiri), aged 9 (the flower of the age, let's say!), which the Governor brought back from his journeys but he isn't really her master. He tried several times to keep her safe in a cage without success, so he finally decided to give up the idea and let her go to and fro as it pleases her, cursing her from time to time, for instance after she did something not allowed in the Orchard.
Sleepwalker, Raffie also goes nuts about cashews (this is not so abnormal for a Capuchin, will you tell us
) and is a kleptomane out of any control. Note also that she is crazy about dried meat but one should avoid at all costs to let her get even some small piece for she the turns (again!) furiously crazy, runs everywhere and tries to bite on everything in her reach for several hours before calming down. She keeps dribbling at the chops for up to even several days and remain all the time quite aggressive
In short, you've now been warned.
She spends most of her time ramming through the garden, in the Governor's Mansion or on his plantations, liking rather to be outside of the house with the exception of the Attic when she wants to sleep quietly and avoiding the wild forest bordering at the back of the Governor's Estate, because she can't feel too relaxed there.
One last thing to note about her: if she's taken, let's say, with her hand in the bag or if one tries to catch or disturb her in a way or another, Raffie reacts at least with very loud and high high piercing screams, which can be heard hundreds of meters away (this is, when looking at her size, very impressive) and, as soon as she succeeds to put herself out of reach, she starts with a noisy and disturbing show of her genitalia as a sign of discontent and despise towards those who dared to bother her
